I am an emotional rock right now and have been for the whole summer. Which, of course, has me VERY suspicious. I am NOT an emotional rock. The emotional transition looks like it will be very sudden. The novelty of this transition is exciting.

One thing that has penetrated this unintentional emotional armor: the description of the 'welcome committees' near the move-in entrance and car queue. The idea that people will take time out of their day to welcome our kids to their new community, waving signs, shouting, putting on a show...

So sweet, so touching, so appreciated. I'm sure those first moments and those feelings will never be forgotten.
