Hi Flock! What a delight it was as Spring Break approached and we were all excited to see our Mustangs come home. Such joy between us with launched birds and the new parents who found a nest for their fledglings! Kids coming home, kids finding a new home. So uplifting! I'm so thankful for this group.

I must say over this year where our only bird left the nest, what changed most in me is the understanding of what I left behind when I launched out of my nest so many years ago. Rarely looking back, and then only superficially. The value of independence and the embrace of the new!

While I wasn't totally negligent, I see the value now in those who knew us when we knew little. Those who knew us when the world was wide and we were fearless. They still know us and we them. While we are in the time of reaping, there is still time to sow.

This is the gift The Distancing has given me.

And who says learning must be painful? Without you, Beloved Flock, it might have been. But your manifold joy buoys me.

I am so thankful. For him, for you, for it all.

❤
